In 2016 I was approached by physical theatre company Justice in Motion to compose the music for their show Contained. This formed a creative partnership that led to the composition of their subsequent projects: On Edge, RESISdANCE and Code.
Most noteworthy, during the pandemic, we collaborated on the poignant Moving Together project; 42 short music and dance pieces. The compositions were musical interpretations of interviews done with individuals suffering from loneliness.
In 2023, I started collaborating with movement designer Stuart Winter on several short dance pieces. This culminated in the invitation to become house-composer for his company Tracing Movement. The company launched its first live ballet in London in April 2023, Dance With Whoever You F*cking Want To. I was commissioned by composer George Stiles (Mary Poppins, Honk!) to create the score for this contemporary ballet.
I continue to explore interdisciplinary collaborations, composing a three-movement piece inspired by artist Mary Chamberlain's paintings Half Light, and providing music for an art installation at the London Design Fair 2023 and 2024 by designers 2LG studios.
Beyond on-screen and stage projects, I've been commissioned to arrange and produce for renowned artists and bands, including an Overture for indie rock band the Amazons and work with electronic duo Whilk & Misky.
Now, I not only compose but also share my knowledge as the Songwriting module leader and teacher at the London College of Contemporary Music.
Originally from the South West of France, my musical journey began with a love for classical and film composers like Chopin, Ravel, Debussy, John Williams, Danny Elfman and Bernard Herrmann. But also artists like Radiohead, Arcade Fire and Björk.
I’m a London-based French composer with a diverse portfolio spanning film, theatre, dance and advertising.
Drawing inspiration from movement, I use momentum to create cinematic compositions. Context, character development and storytelling devices underpin my writing when devising full-scale narrative works. I build my music using neo-classical tonalities, explorative electronic textures and experimental sampling techniques. These evolve into world-building soundscapes, pulse-racing pieces and melody-driven scores.
I always aim to uncover innovative approaches tailored to the project's needs while actively engaging with the creative team throughout the collaborative process.
After graduating from the London College of Contemporary Music in 2014 with First Class Honours, I scored my first feature film Wasp the same year, which was met with acclaim by critics around the world; winning an award at the FilmOut San Diego in 2015 and nominations at Raindance Film Festival London and Beirut International Film Festival.
My body of work also spans an array of award-winning short films including the psychological thriller Reflections, featuring Kevin McNally (Pirates of the Caribbean); this film won an award at the Best North East Film Festival (UK) and was nominated at the British Short Films Awards. My score for the short film Margam was nominated at the Sunlight Film Festival.
