Inspired by Scandinavian traditional dances, DWWYFWT is a short Ballet that explores the codes of conventional dances in a non binary way in a freeing celebration of humanity and culture. Using the backdrop of a Scandinavian barn festivity, Stuart Winter invites us to spend an exhilarating moment rediscovering our shared culture.

The music was inspired by the hantingly beautiful melodies of the Celtic and Scandinavian traditional musics. I wanted the score to explore themes of being at peace, balance/unbalance, self discovery, and pride, using a form of playfulness, purity and simplicity.

I blended traditional instruments such as Fiddles and guitars, an acoustic piano and a Bodhrán (Irish percussion) with electronic textures.
The music was commissioned by George Stiles.
