MOVING TOGETHER (2020/2021)
contemporary dance
Production: Justice in Motion
Artistic Director: Anja Meinhardt
Moving Together is a dance project in association with Dr Bronwyn Tarr, that explores loneliness and belonging. The project started a few weeks before the beginning of the COIVID pandemic, and when the first lockdown was announced, it took a new dimension and gave us a greater sense of purpose. We interviewed people suffering from loneliness and from their testimony, I composed 30 different pieces to illustrate and convey the feelings and images that they shared. Then our incredible team of dancers choreographed my compositions and we created 30 video gifts to give back to the participants we interviewed.
From the material we had gathered and created during the video gifts process, we produced a short film.
I’ve selected a few of the video gifts. I would recommend to watch some of them first before you watch the short film.
In 2021, we expended the project to members of the RAF Benson and their families and produced a further 12 short pieces. From it we made a documentary. So lots of things to watch! More on the Justice in Motion website.
